How YouTube Resonates to YouPopular!
|
YouTube keeps changing just like any other social website, and will keep changing. Over time, it has increased its power to attract everyone who has internet. What doesn’t change though is its power to make you gain some popularity for yourself!
The moment you upload your very first video, you are greeted by an email on some video optimizing tips from YouTube itself. Maybe you still do everything it said, maybe you forgot. The general Youtube SEO optimization techniques remain the same, so remind yourself from time to time, or just keep a journal. If you have an SEO consultant, introduce them to the YouTube campaign. |

The Infamy:
The problem with this is yet again the infamous Black Hat seo tricks. Unfortunately, even if you search on getting traffic from YouTube Channel, the top result is a Black Hat website. Now, naming something as a black hat trick is tricky in itself. But anywhere you read “automated marketing and results” or alike, you should know Google abhors it.
Content Videos:
| The very popular “Gangnam Style by Psy” did not go viral due to some website that claimed to give it an automated traffic hike of millions of views (not going into detail about the Dooms Day hoax). It went viral due to awesome content and through “quality” views. |

“According to The Wall Street Journal, T-Pain was among the first to have “sent [the video] to the stratosphere” when he tweeted about it on July 29. It was then picked up by Neetzan Zimmerman from the social blog Gawker, who asked “Did this underground Hip Hop artist from South Korea just release the Best Music Video of the Year?” on July 30. This was soon followed by Robbie Williams, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Tom Cruise, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and William Gibson, who have either commented about or shared the video with their fans via Twitter.”

A Look at Channels:
Your very own YouTube Channel is like your video blog. You get to monetize a lot with just uploading your videos. Plus you can make it your official page like HBO’s Game of Thrones team has here:

This page tells the viewers that you’re the original and soul owner of these videos they searched for! Once people start subscribing to you and they see you earning more ownership, this is the page that will drive them in more.
You can have your own brand video page just like the above by customizing your Channel. You can customize your background image and banner, and also get your brand’s Watch Page icon so that people can trust in your channel and hence subscribe to it, or watch only your videos out of their video search results.
Playlists
Playlists play a very important role in keeping viewers in your own space. Arrange your videos in playlists so that every time a viewer clicks on one of your videos, he can see your whole playlist on the right hand side and find more related videos!
Working with Annotations

Annotations are a great way to communicate a few pointers to your viewers. For example, the annotation at the end of your video that gives them a link to your channel to subscribe to. This is the most common one, but you can add annotations to link to your company website/blog or even to others’ videos. Linking to others’ videos will take your traffic away from your channel however, and so it is not encouraged.
While working with annotations though, make sure you use a good colour scheme – not too glary ones, not very light, invisible-ey either. Annotations are great unless you overdo them and fill your video area with speech bubbles.
Also, keep in mind that annotations do not come up if someone views your video on a handset like an iPhone or iPod so mention quickly in your video verbally how they can subscribe using the subscribe button or follow links to wherever you want them to.
Video Responses
Doing video responses is another way to let more people know you. For a fabulous idea, if someone has a video on a question that you may answer in detail, you can respond to that video with an answer-video!
Respond effectively to a video and see the magic work for your own channel!
In 2011, YouTube had more than 1 trillion views. Whatever you do, if you want to be popular, YouTube is the easiest way to become a hit!
